which leg of the LED goes to the positive and which to the neg? the longer or shorter leg?
I know the resistor goes on the longer leg.

i'm doing the illuminateing door handles mod and putting a light on the ignition barrel.

now if i wire all the leds in series, will i only need to use 1 resistor, or do i still need to put one resistor in front of each LED?

and am i right in that i'll need to use a seperate circuit for the small neon tubes that i'll be using for the footwell lighgting? as they won't run on the power after it's been through the resistor for the LEDs.

(and yes bthe wagon is getting a bit of rice, but i'll be keeping it purely as tasteful curtousey interior lighting - absolutely nothing on the outisde)!

ok think i'm gunna have to wire them in parrallel couse the resistor is made for one LED
if i do them in series i'll only need 1 resistor, but will need to be a different one.

i would use a resistor on each led, and the longer leg is positive :D

bingo.

And for your 'neons' I assume since you said they were small they're actually CCFL (cold cathod fluresenct), and they'll want a straight 12V supply, so yeah either a diff circuit, or wire them in parallel to the LEDs (not serial).
