i have an EL XR6 on duel fuel gas and have a question on the colour of the oil.. after 2 oil changes while on gas, each time the oil colour is still a dark brown colour even though the car is run on gas 98% of the time.. i thought that the oil would be brand new looking almost even after 10,000 km old..
is this the case or is it normal.. thanks guys

normal, I'm yet to see any oil come out of a motor looking like new after 5000k's, let alone 10000

yes its cleaner and obviously less carbon from fuel, but......
Engine wear, dirty air all add up

Depends on how dirty the engine is inside, if its service history is patchy then its probably all gunked up inside.
My EL's oil is still pretty clean after 5000kms. Good way to tell is how clean the rockers are.

sweet thanks guys, might chuck some engine cleaner into it and see if it helps. thought it may have somethin to do with the engine internally. will pul the cover off and check it out. its service history hasnt been too bad really but just wanna keep it goin strong
