Doing some work on my brother's EL with factory Vialle LPG and noticed a gas smell in the engine bay around the converter. Its not super strong, but is definitely noticeable in that area.
Hoses and pipes looked ok, but is there anything I should be looking at in particular? Or am I better off just taking it somewhere to get it looked at?

spray some soapy (dish detergent) water around the gas fittings, bubbles will form where the leak is

Normally the gas line threaded (not flared) fittings have loctite 567 (or equivalent) applied, and sometimes this deteriorates over time and can leak. Technically a fitter should do this, but you can clean and redo the fittings, just apply normal LPG safety precautions when doing it. Obviously don't overtighten the flare fittings, and check your work + leak test as above.
Loctite 567 is pretty expensive (around $30 a tube), so ensure it's not the converter itself at fault.
Not a bad idea to let the paste cure at least overnight or for 24 hrs.
