I'm getting 112 RWKW on my 295k kms old i6 with Parnell SVI Injection on LPG, only get 115 RWKW on petrol. I've got a 2.5 " from the back of the cat back, one small muffler removed, and an XH cold air intake. Engine is slightly down on compression & burns a very small amount of oil, it leaks way more than it burns. Timing isn't 100% spot on either, only tuned by ear & how it drives, i don't own a timing light YET. Had to replace the dizzy when the old one died.

That engine is getting swapped for an ED with only 115k kms on the clock backed by a 5spd manual as well. While i do the engine swap, i'm thinking of buying another intake manifold and cleaning it up a bit to improve flow & relocate the gas injectors to a slightly more friendly position for when / if the manifold needs to come off, as the #1 & #2 injectors need to be removed to remove the manifold bolts. Pain in the a**!

I would love to do more mods to it to increase the power, but i have other projects that require funds to be spent on them.

Cheers

ToranaGuy

Errr.... have you heard of the Ford Flash Tuner?

IIRC the CAPA Flash tuner does not work on EGAS ECUs ... as they are setup differently from the petrol version.

OK ... in addition to this ... I am wrong.
I have found out they can be flashed ... just not as much can be done to it ... spark curves can be altered and a few other things.

Anyway ... my ute is going in to get an upgraded cam installed in the VERY near future ... details on the cam are still pretty much secret. Will post before and after results when installed.

Will be setup of low-rev high-torque for the auto as well ... so not going to max kw ... torque is where I will be concentrating on.

Also have a replacement rocker cover I picked up cheap ... that is getting sent to the powder coaters for a bit of custom work .... much nicer than standard that's for sure.

Bought a X-cab AU Duel Fuel factory LPG recently and I have noticed much more bottom end power on LPG. It will spin the wheels off the lights but wont on petrol (what the). Feels much stronger on LPG rigt thru til about 4000, maybe this is due to the ECU with the different maps for LPG & ULP, dont know. be interesting to get this on the dyno to compare between the 2.

well i hope the extra power talk for gas is good and true, as i get my car back tomo on gas, so guess we'll see.
do ppl belive it's worth getting the Gas cam if you still want to run petrol from time to time?? how bad does it make the petrol side run on the gas cam??

You will only get more power on gas if the system is designed to do that & it's tuned right.

What gas system are you getting installed? An LPGI or a std donut type? Gas Research maybe?

The cam question really depends on the specs of it & how much it differs to petrol. I'm thinking about getting a cam for my engine later in the year ( when $$ can be found ), but my car has to start on petrol before it will switch over to LPG, so i've gotta take that into consideration before i choose the cam. If i could afford it, i'd also bump the comp upto around 9.8:1 or so, which as long as i don't wanna take it for a thrash on petrol, would be fine for starting.

Cheers

Nope, not the prins system. Poliauto system. I've had it on the EB for OVER 3 years now. Before Parnell were selling it as a commercial product. Mine was fit when they were still " testing " the poliauto system. Parnell have since moved to the prins system, which has some benifits over the poliauto system, and some drawbacks.

What i'd really love is the Stealth gas injection which can be read about here.

If i could get ahold of the software to program the lpg ecu, i'm sure it could be set to start the car on LPG. But to be honest that presents problems that really don't need much petrol to not have in the first place. I use about 10ltrs every fortnight, to keep all the injection running that's cheap. Not to mention having a possible maxium 1000km give or take a bit range before needing to refill the tanks is also a nice feature. I can get 500kms to a tank on the open road, gas or petrol.

Cheers

Hahahahahaha ... it's OK ... I knew bits and pieces would eventually come off the engine ... I already taxed the Cylinder Head Temp Sensor as well for further testing .... LOL
