Apart from the moulded lines next to the fog lamps on the front I cant see any other exterior difference.

They do look identical to me (including tail lights). The interior is different though... new trim pattern, and the silver bit in the door arm rest used to finish lower instead of curving right over the top. I don't like the new shifter either... the older gate looked better.

The air dam in the front spoiler is different too. But if I was driving behind that one I wouldn't know what series it was... Or did they do the whole EF-EL change the reverse lights thing :?

I agree. The rims make it look like their trying too hard to make the new models different. Which is a shame, because a lot of the second hand ones in car yards sport aftermarket rims. Which in turn suggests right there in respect to the rims anyway, that Ford aren't listening to what the fans like.

why put 16"s for rims. Everyone like big rims. Put >17"s and have lower profile. not that hard. Make them look more sporty and people wont go put aftermarket which means they will be able to set there image and not have people go put 17 chrome flat dish rims on and wrekc their image.

And this will help us recognise the car from behind while driving how... Oh wait when we accidently bump into it and break it you will see "Gee that's the new crystal rear lamps there... I'm certain it has to be a BF now" ;)

I wouldnt pick it any different other than from the front and only if looking closely lol..
All i can say is those rims are the ugliest things i ever seen; seen better hubcaps hahahaha!

Interior looks alrite; the door trim anyway.

Do the BF fairlanes have different tail lights again or they he same as the 'mont ones again?

If your talking about the Ba, mate they arent 16"s they are 17's stock. On all XR range (excluding the optional 18" rims).

But yeah the front bar i like alot. Looks sportier/meaner in the front air dam.

I do like the design of the gear selector with that nice boot around the shifter.
Would have liked to have seen bigger changes in the front end to make the two models more easily recognised
If it wasn't for the new gearbox, i would def. call it mk III instead of giving it a new model.
I wonder if it will be enough to take out wheels COTY unless they give it to the 380

Boring just the same s**t with a different smell. If you update the car it deserves to have looks upgraded as well.
