I was just curious of what everyone thinks as to the 'concept' Ford Fairlane. I for one hope it stays as a concept in respects to its exterior. (Still havent found engine interior etc. etc.)

Its um..... interesting *cough*

Did i say interesting? I meant hideous.

Very typical US styling tho - will probably play well with the escalade crowd - get it '24d up' and full of 10 inch screens. Guessing it'll have a modular V8 as an option at least.

Very low roof line, rather strange.

Found this extract. Cant find much about it.

Quote:
The Ford Fairlane concept features a passenger compartment wrapped in glass and seats up to six-passengers. Ford called the new Fairlane an "upscale, upright people mover for the American family."

Alright, scratch previous comment about modular v8. she's getting the 3.0L V6

Ford's vision for the fairlane is "car as the beach house"

Interesting little tidbit - Fairlane named after Henry's estate!

Yuck, Like the Explorer wasnt bad enough :?
God I hate 4WD's

That is very unusual for them to turn a stylish classy name like Fairlane into a roving box... Way too square for me :?

not too bad, but wtf were they thinking with the suicide rear doors? i mean..... it seems every man and his left nut are trying suicide doors now.....

i can see it appealing to the "bling bling and twenny-fo's" club though...

f**k if i know why they chose the fairlane name... it bears no resembelance to any fairlane ford has ever made
