Taken from Drive 13/1/06

Ford's big news will be the arrival of the turbocharged version of the Territory soft-roader, due in showrooms in July. Prices and equipment are yet to be confirmed but Drive understands that the turbo engine (borrowed from the highly regarded Falcon XR6 Turbo) will only be available with all-wheel-drive initially and sold as a premium model. Unlike the sedan's intercooler (which is mounted behind the front bumper for optimum cooling), the Territory's intercooler is mounted above the engine, hence the Subaru WRX-style bonnet vent. This was done to avoid being damaged when going off-road and because there is more room under the Territory's bonnet to accommodate the intercooler.

ALso
In August, the BF Falcon will come in for a Series II update to compete with the all-new Holden Commodore which is due at that time. Ford Performance Vehicles have no major changes planned for its model range.

i thought it was just a supercharged I6, but i may be wrong, Nizpro did a Terra with a BA XR6 Turbo motor, whacked one of their hot up cobra kits on it and it ran an 11.7 1/4 mile :D

They've done a couple of territorys. One was a RWD blown BOSS V8, they've done a xr6t convo (unno if it was still AWD or not).

Lots of 'real' 4x4's have turbo motors.

And I don't see many terrortry's go off road anyway.
