A team is currently driving an LPG Falcon around mainland Australia with the aim to do it using less that $1000 LPG! You can follow their progress on the Ford website here!

Looks like they'll do it too!

lol notice how they didnt go to tasmania.....

Not sure if theywill do it, they are prob over half way, but there will be a lot more traffic and stuff coming down the east coast. interesting to see how they go though.

i think it's strange for them to go by a $$ amount. LPG would be different prices everywhere around the country! and are they paying pump price or company price? i know here at work we don't pay pump price on the bp cards....

few flaws in the way they're going about it, but i think it's a good idea to show how far you can go! reminds me of the "torture test" they did back in the 60's with (i think, correct me if i'm wrong) the xp's. driven round the clock flat out!

They are paying PUMP price & they should have done in a V8 then look at the sales FORD would get & develop E-GAS for the V8 donk.

what about the central west near broken hill and bourke area they don't have a lpg pump only a min nuet few have lpg pumps ( i know this down a few trips with father and just noticed it when we fuelled up on the odd acassions)

Caught up with d**k Johnson on his stop over in Canberra, got my fan belt cover signed, and concorde got is passenger airbag signed - a DJR enhanced Fairlane. :P

lucky bugger!! i saw the replay of the ford crossing the finnishing line a couple of days ago... what a great achievement... good time to stal a bit of the marketing thunder holdens had with the VE lately... :wink:
