Well all i know is that some of the performance vehicles are gettin the 6 speed auto. I think they just need to bring out a new model, i have a feeling that Holdens new crappadore may beat Ford in new car sales as the Falcon will only be an Update, not a whole new model... :?

Ahh who cares thou Holdens are gay. I think new alloys will be added to the range of Falcon updates :) D

That would be a bonus, an overdrive of 0.6 or so.

its like the faithful old axe that has had 2 new heads and 3 new handles. just replaced the head, now they might give us a new block or something...
Not that i am in any way bagging ford - holden hasn't done anything major with their motor in the last 15 years either. At least we got a whole new head and all holden can come up with is an alloy engine (which i can't see as being a reliable idea).

It is confirmed. Ford want the ZF 6 speed auto in the Falcon range (optional for XT) for Octobers Mark III release.
There are a few 6-speed auto equiped BA's, one a Fairmont, in Germany as we speak doing extensive testing of the ZF gearbox. There is a picture and a story of them in this months issue of Motor magazine. 8-)
