Ok what do you think made pirtek to not renew its contract?

Is it as they say as per the official v8 supercar site or do you think they where just being nice about it.

After all they have put alot of finance into SBR only to have d**k waste there money and wreck their lime light of sponsoring this years V8 Supercar champion and Bathurst winner.
And to be palmed of as a racing incident probbly put the final nail in it.

What are your views?

first i've heard of it.
8 years is a long time, and without ambrose, sbr have less of a chance of being the number 1 team.
I'm more curious to who will drive the sbr car in 2006.

i don't believe the Murphy incident would be the reason for droping the sponsership. It's probably a mix of Ambrose leaving and that. Anyways, it won't be hard for SBR to get a new sponser, I mean who wouldn't want to sponser the #1 team 3 years in a row?

they will definately get a sponsor, but i dont think it will be as easy as thought. ambrose is leaving, and there are no real gun drivers to step into the seat.

I remember last year our local Pirtek man told me that SBR were asking alot more for sponsoring them and that Pirtek probably wont be able to afford it if SBR win another championship (which they did). So Id say finances more than anything.
