Lowndes had a bad day the poor guy, and then poor Ambrose.

Why is it that Fords always seem to pass nicely without to much fuss yet Holdens always push there way through taking fords out on the way through.

With about 2 laps to go there was a car leaving pit road that was dropping a bit of oil but I don't know if he had left pit road. I was hoping he did, that way there was a very real possibillity of skaife and richerds having one big mother of a last lap lose. But bloddy murphy. I haven't seen a pile up like that since 1991 when skafe won in the GTR and that guy had a heart attack on top of the mountain and died behind the wheel. Bowe and Johnson were supposed to win that day but when the race was stopped they went back to the last completed lap and skaifey and richerds won. Anyone remember the "Pack of a***hole" speech?

oh yes I remember watching that - that was a wet race lol

it was the best Bathurst i have watched for a while. it was entertaining
it was just a pity that a ford never won.
will be interesting to see what happens over the Ambrose Murphy incedent.

remember the days when the top driver could get into the number 2 car to finish the race. i bet lowndes was itching to give Ellery a hand.

When did that rule get thrown out the window? I was thinking the same thing. If That rule still existed then we would have smashed them fair and square. By lap 50 the place looked like a car yard full of holden certified used vehicles and the cars in that pile up would have belonged in the showroom.

That hit was whenthe heavy drinking started. But as Darren said, was a very good days viewing. And OMG at the Maybach Excelio. Would've loved to see it line up against a supercar.

AH well I thought it was a good days viewing overall as it wasn't like a onesided F1 race where the Pole Sitter ends up winning each time!
Value for money viewing I reckon, as it had drama, near on punch ups, smash em up Derby action, Swear words and I guess if I was at the top of the Mountain I would of even seen a bit of Sex as well. I liked seeing the Chrysler 300C Safety car as well..Hmmm..250Kw HEMI...mmmmm

we should all donate money to ambrose, so he can pay off the fine for smacking murphey in the head... what a f**k tosser.

Although not winning aside, Ambrose was VERY quick, and catching up. Even with the black flag, he was still catching... I recon he deserves a gold medal just for his efforts. Tops driving. And a definate pity about Lowndes too, but s**t happens.

Cheers

PS - Murphey's a f**k f**k up f**k who can't f**k win a f**k race without f**k cheating f**k. Loser

Because us Ford driver's know how to drive ... Holden driver's still haven't passed the Dodgem Car test .. and never will.

Also shows the mentality of Holden Drivers ... at least us Ford people keep our cool and don't act like total d***head
