just reading this thread http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7546... has it been established that in fact hub adaptors/spacers and/or any alteration to the factory hub is unlawful?

topic has been covered many times.. Hub adapters are not like spacers.. Spacers act like washers spacing out the rim on the threads.. Hub adapters bolt onto your existing hubs and give off 5 whole new threads.. therefore there is no extra stress on your axles. Unlike spacers the adapters are LEGAL.
