The March pulley kit is the Steel 1015, Power and Amp kit. This kit is claimed to give a 11rwhp gain with no charging problems because it comes with a 1 11/16" alternator pulley. March has a rrp of $78.89US, Jegs are selling them at $74.95US. This kit should suit the EB-EL V8.

Jegs unfortunately will only use FEDEX making the total cost to my door $165US, roughly $220AUS. This is still cheaper than any Australian retail sourced kit to my knowledge.

My idea is to buy a MAXIMUM of 4 of these kits as a mini group buy. I would expect to be able to ship them out to people for under $200AUS. I am currently awaiting a quote from Jegs to work out final pricing.

If this goes ahead I will ONLY buy 4 kits because I don't want to have too much hassle with customs and I will be initially purchasing them with 50% of my money.

I will definitely be buying the kit regardless so I am not too worried if no one is interested. I am just trying to reduce the $90 postage and handling cost for one pulley kit.

If you are interested:
- post your interest here by Friday 20/10/06.
- I will require a 50% deposit upfront to confrim purchase.

If this works out I might organise Crane Cams Cobra rocker kit buy in a couple of months.

Hey Bert,

Check out a major automotive wholesaler in Sydney with a name that starts with an R...

They just might have them in stock. Don't like to advertise for them but you could save a few bucks.

Another alternative to check out is the Ford Motorsports Catalogue. You could be surprised what you'll find in there.

I have had a little look around for these kits over the last week. The problem I have found so far is that most places do not sell the kit with the smaller alternator pulley. I have only seen the BPT kit with the smaller pulley, and thats actually an ASP kit from the USA. Also none have been as cheap as $220AUS for just the one kit.

playswithnitro I don't know who they are? If they are cheaper than $220 for a 3 pulley kit posted please let me know.

If I can get 4 people in total including myself the price including postage to everyones door is $170 for the kit.

The only thing is that they don't stock that many at once so the turnaround from order would be about 2 weeks to me.

It should be identical. Google asp pulley, then go to the site. The steel set with a 700rpm idle is the BPT kit, look at the pic for it and on BPT's site. Then go to the March pulley site and look up this part number and picture. The alternator pulley is ~42mm in diameter. Our alternator should be identical to the Ford Mustang unit.

AFAIK March and ASP are the only 2 making kits that keep the alternator properly working at idle.

I asked someone about that (i think it was bpt) and they said AU's come with underdrives as standard - still might be worth confirming that though

For this group buy I have recieved a definite from:

1. xa jg66
2. SDFGH_54

and a interested from:

3. castlegreyskull
4. Fordzatmyplace (in 3 weeks)

I need to get a confirmation from castlegreyskull.

Fordzatmyplace I will place the order in 2 weeks on the 6/11/06 from there I have been advised by Jegs, 2 weeks to me. You only need 50% to order and the other 50% when I recieve the goods. I wanted only 4 total but if you are genuine I will order one more.

I will absolutely not do anymore than 5 because I had stuff stuck in customs for 2 weeks last time and I don't like that, I am just trying to keep under customs' radar. If anyone drops out I will post up.

For the people in the group buy I will need 50% deposit by the 3/11/06. So if you can't do it let me know ASAP so someone else can replace you.

To everyone that has asked, I am pretty sure the AU is NOT compatible. The crank pulley under a quick inspection seems to be shallower due to the crank trigger. The AU system does seem to be underdriven compared to the EB-EL's but no where near the aftermarket kits.
