If you actually read the article in PerFord magazine, JETXR not only had to cut a hole in his bonnet, apparently he needed to lower his engine mounts and modify his cross member as well to get it to sit as low as it did. And even with all that work he still had to cut a hole in the bonnet

Kyron: The 'K' frame would need to be modified indefinetly, but do you know for sure if the engine mounts were modifed at all? How could we find out?

By the way, are there any any of these BA long motors left for a $1000? I need the power steering pump, alternator, tensioner and air conditioning compressor too.

we have successfully fitted a BA 4ltr into a AU falcon , and got it running using the AU PCM.

it just clears the bonnet (with a slight re-mould of 1 of the bonnet ribs)
hooks up using the AU coil pack , and most AU accessories.
no cutting of wiring looms it all just plug together , some brakets need to be made for water pipes, accel cable and a/c pump
new hose needs to be made for power steering .

this is a engine change that could be done in a weekend

yeh its not looking hopeful for putting them in an e series car easily... should go in an X series car easily enough as they dont have K frames as such, but yeh, its not legal to modify the k frame
