Speaker pods suit EF/EL series falcon and could be used for Tweeters / Midrange / co-axials such as some shown below. You would need to check moutngin sizes and depth's.

If you were to mount 3" midrange and tweeter in the pod then mout the 6.5" midbass in the doors to maintain a nice heigh / tight soundstage. These are terriffic on axis pods that work very well in ensuring good stage height and imaging accross the car. Housing midrange and tweeter in here would provide a nice heigh soundstage

There isn't a normal mount in EF's for 4" speakers. |

In answer to questions, they sound A LOT better as the speakers are on axis & not difusing accross the glass. I would never use the standard tweeter locations.
Colour wise they are a pretty good match, a little darker then the A-pillar itself but the whole interior is contrasting shades of grey so it matches nicely.
