Its not 9k over priced, its the going price for caryards!
Shane and I got them cheap coz we sourced them privately, took a while findingthe right one and were just lucky the owners were willing to let them go cheaply to get a quick sale.
I feel upto 24 is reasonable - not saying id pay 24 for one, but if its in mint condit, a good number (ie 1 of 100 is cool number) and had v low kms with personal plates, i dont see the prob.
Depends what type of person you are and what you want your car to be and represent.
Ive gone the std lane with lots of mods and i tell you now it was no where as nice and cost s**t loads in the long run.. never again will i get a "basic" modle car n mod the fook out of it - i much rather get something with some rareness, bit of history in the making (1st ever T series) and value and feel the pride in looking after it.

When you realise these things have the big ELGT brakes, full leather trim (with XR based seats), 17" speedlines, ELGT woodgrain steering wheel and ELGT motor - as well as a 3.45 LSD diff and different (ELGT) computer - the extra 9k would easily get absorbed into bringing a 98 NL Ghia up to these specs - probably more. The fact that they are a limited edition and individually numbered just adds to the investment potential - these things will always be more expensive than the normal Fairlane V8's.

Have you driven one mate ? Members on here (and people in general) that have purchased them second / third hand for under $20K have done well...not saying mid 20's is a rip - as I'd have to see the car in the flesh before making that call...there is one for sale in Mill Park VIC at the moment and it is rat $hit...he wants $16K for it I think - it has been pranged and resprayed the wrong colour...you get what you pay for IMHO...but different states do hold them in different regards is what I put down the fluctuating prices to.

Cheers,
Steve

you would think that they would write down the 195kw V8 as one of the features and the fact that it is 1 of 106 ever made. I would! :D

Mine WILL have a sunroof eventually, and mine has the interior in much better condit - mostly the leather seats look ratty in that one..
For the price diff i can accpet mine to be sunroof-less (for now) :)
