You put the key in and turn to on , as turning it any further wont start the starter motor
you have to press the button to start the car

You could do it as a security measure, or you could do it like they do out of the factory and just have it for wank value.

If it includes a new key barrel I'm assuming you need a new key?

Read the doco link guys - it sjust a button that plugs into your factory loom that you can only start the car with
You put the key in the barrel turn to on then press the button
