Now that I have my NA on the road, it's time to say good bye to the Monty!
I have been toying with the idea of parting it out and I would probably make twice the asking price if I did, but realistically, I just don't have the time.

Mrs has been running around in it and has been reliable. It does have issues though!
The thermo's need to be wired up correctly (currently switched on by switch under dash)
The auto has a pretty big clunk when putting into gear, but shifts OK when driving. The safety switch is on the way out and can be a b**ch to start somedays, just need to wiggle the shifter
*This failed again yesterday when Dr Hoon was here to look at the car, and I had to pull it out, dismantle it, clean it out and it seems to be ok for now, but should be replaced.
Odometer doesn't work....just needs the little wheel replaced I think.
No stereo!
Probably other issues which I will add if I think of them
* NA Upper Back seat and bolsters do not fit - Can get them from Pick'n'Payless pretty cheap

This would suit some-one looking for a cheap ride for the next few months, and/or part it out yourself. If ya really keen, it could be saved from the scrap heap, but in my honest opinion, it would need to be a ground up rebuild. All panels are rust free, but the paint has gone on the bonnet and roof and the boot is in undercoat. All other panels, paint is OK, but most have scratches and even a few bumps and scrapes.
The good points....has AU Motor, no oil leaks and still runs strong
Interior is in pretty good condition...but please note seats will be NA fairlane....the leathers have been promised to someone else.....sorry
Has Motivator extractors + 2 1/2" Sports exhaust
Has shift kit fitted
+ all the other Fairmont Ghia goodies
If nobody wants to buy the monty as a whole car....I will be parting it out if not gone by easter! But for now....only expressions of interest for the whole car......questions about parts may come later if not sold.

Will be pinching the PS pump from the monty for the NA. So will have a dodgy PS Pump, added to first post! Will progressively start taking more of the goodies off it unless someone wants to take it while it's still drivable
Update! Didn't remove the PS pump, I bought one for the NA from the wreckers

Brakes are good.....tyres are probably 25% tread but front right is worn on the outer edge. I'll post up pics of all 4 tyres tomorrow and answer your PM after I've checked a few things for ya mate!

Here's the original For Sale thread from when I bought it 4 months ago. Not much has changed since then as the wife has only driven it locally to taxi the kids around.
I have however repaired the leaking exhaust (new flange gasket off cat) and head unit will be removed to go in the NA.
