1998 EL Fairmont

Exterior
- Alaskan Frost in colour (bluey silver color)
- 2mth old Advanti 18" wheels. Very Slight gutter rashes on front two wheels but back two perfect wrapped in Regal comfort tyres (paid $1600 or so only 2mths ago)
- factory fairlane driving lights in front bumper
- lowered on king lows all round with KYB shocks

The paint is not perfect but overall is good. The front passenger door has been resprayed at some stage before my ownership and could use a good cut and polish. Few little scratches but nothing really noticeable. New front bar was put on about 5000kms ago due to the old one splitting. Maybe one or two little shopping trolley dents but overall a pretty clean car.

Mechanicals
- Reco'd EF XR6 motor installed with 130,000kms on the car only 6000kms ago, running with an EL ghia ECU.
- Mild wade 1006 cam reground with shims.
- Brand new LPG setup installed in nov 2006
- Hitech extractors and lukey 2.5" exhaust with 2.5" cat.
- 5spd manual conversion (out of EF XR6) with new Valeo XHD clutch and flywheel installed less than 5000kms ago
- Lock-rite lokka installed with VGC 3.45 gears and rebuilt diff internals less then 2000kms ago (A normal rebuilt LSD can be arranged if buyer does not fancy the lokka)
- K & N filter in airbox. (NOT a pod)

Serviced at least every 5000kms by my brother who is a ford mechanic using only genuine ford stuff. Everything was installed by me and my brother aswell. Car does not miss a beat. You may have seen me give the car a bit of stick but I assure you its looked after on the mechanical side of things.

Interior
- Basic sound system consisting of a JVC KD-G615 head unit, 2x pioneer 306C subs, jaycar 820w monoblock, DLS Iridium 6.5" mids up front and some cheap sony 6" speakers in the rear. Its a good system that sounds awesome.
- EL GT shifter boot and cheap repco gear knob. (I have a worn BA XR6 one that I will through in aswell!)
- Standard fairmont interior with a couple of small holes in the front seats. Nothing major with no wear or major stains on any of the seats.
- AU Fairlane ghia woodgrain and leather steering wheel. This wheel looks awesome and is NLA from ford now. Not the momo one but the fairlane one.

Interior is pretty much stock standard. Woodgrain steering wheel and EL GT shifter boot set it off nicely though I believe.

Car is registered until April I think. I will confirm this when I can. I will be taking the car for a RWC check during the week to see what it needs. If the buyer can organised their own RWC within 2 weeks of the sale then I will sell with REG. Im chasing $7500 for the car as is (with stereo, wheels, etc.) will be adjusted when I know how much a RWC will cost me although Im doubting it will need much at all. I am willing to sell without the wheels or system or other bits and pieces if a buyer does not want them. Any questions or queries don't hesitate to ask. I don't expect to get much response from the forums but hey its worth a crack.

Thats pretty much it. Im not chasing a mint for it. People are more then welcome to come and have a look. I really would prefer to sell the car because I need the cash to pay for the fines I have building up. Would prefer a quick sale. Will consider trading for a clean EA-ED manual + cash my way or something of that sort. Im not going to have my licence for a while so just looking for something to work on.

Oh I forgot to say The car is located in the northern suburbs of melbourne.

what sort of $$$ you after for your el

i also just noticed your selling the rims in another topic so what rime will be on the car

I am looking to sell the wheels seperately but if an prospective buyer wants them with the car then of course we can strike a deal. Without subs, amp and head unit and wheels I would be looking for a minimum of $6250 or so I think.

what about with wheels, subs, amp and head unit as my brother might be interested as he wants another 98 el manual

With everything I would probably be chasing around the $7500 mark. That would also include a brand new windscreen. The current windscreen is cracked from a bloody truck driving past.
