OK, she's gotta go...
First of all, the price ...$5500-6000 Now the car... EL XR6 1996, Auto, Heritage Green, 257,000k's Currently NSW registered 'til April '07, but I am in process of WA registering it. Bad points: 257,000k's on clock, lots of stone chips on bonnet & front bar (approx. $1000 to paint bonnet & bar), few scratches on paintwork (no peeling or fading, but generally needs a good detail / polish), confirmed needs S5 solenoid replacing on trans (approx. $300 to fix) but still driveable, only an intermittent problem, Aircon control locked on RECIRC. Good points: Motor runs well, drives & handles very well, with lots of power, just had new XR6 muffler & 4 new tyres, interior in very good condition (no rips, tears or stains), has cruise control & passenger airbag. I will fix the gearbox solenoid, so she's ready to roll. To you NSW guys: You could still buy this car & transport it back to NSW ...and it will still be NSW rego'd until April 2007. To my fellow Sandgropers: The new muffler, tyres, and repaired windscreen chips have already been done & paid for, at the request of the vehicle inspectors on my first & only trip to the pits. These were the only fail points, and this car will now pass inspection for WA rego. I can either take it back and get the WA registration come my next payday around the 20th, or you could save yourself a few bucks from my price range, and WA rego it yourself before then, ...it's ready to go now! Or you can send a tow truck around to my house, pick it up as it is ...and WRECK the bastard, in which case $5000 will seal it. Anywhere else in OZ: PM me, and we'll work something out. You have 2 options with this car: 1. Take it (with gearbox fixed), spend approx $1500 on some TLC & restoration, and have a nice EL XR6 for under $7500. 2. Take it as it is & wreck it. NO OFFERS FLAMED OR LAUGHED AT (not publicly, anyway) ...SO COME ON, TRY ME!
