Ride: EF waggin - gli/XR/ghia

Location: Sydney
NSW, Australia

My brother bought this car back in 2008, but now he's putting it on the market (he's been accepted into the navy for January) so I thought I'd re-post this in case anyone is interested in this piece of history!

It's just had over $1000 spent on it:
    grease and oil change
    new serpentine belt
    new pulley bearing
    new front bushes
    new front shock absorbers
two new tyres put on (to match the others - Dunlop 205/65R15 Sport 300E)
    wheel alignment
    new roof liner
    new central dome light
wiring in the front right window lifter mechanism has been repaired
front bar has been sprayed white

Asking price is currently $3,500 or nearest offer
Pics are from the original post - new pics are to come.

I also have some speakers, amp crossover and head unit for sale if anyone is interested :D

==================================================

Yes, the good ol' waggin is sadly for sale. She's been sitting in the shed for a while because I've got a 4WD with electric brakes for towing the horse trailer. I need a new 4WD, so the waggin's gotta go first!

EF wagon
EL engine with only 150,000km
Custom XR front end inc bonnet (Fairmont lower half)
Custom dash facia and white dials & needles + red lighting
Colour-coded mirrors
Cruise control (factory)
Leather/velour interior (seats + doortrims) (grey)
Matching EL woodgrain & chrome interior
Carpet kickpanels
Ghia sunvisors
Power windows all round
35% tint on the front 2 windows, 20% on the rear 2 and across the back
LSD
16" alloys
Towbar
Auto
Dynamic white
K&N filter
Rear speakers only (sound minus the HU available separately - top quality wiring still in place)
Last full service at Crescent Motorsport (500km ago) - head gasket inspected and no problems there.
Plates - "FMD-04L" (Ford Mods Development - 4L)
11 months rego

This is sadly an unfinished project - I have no space at my new apartment to do any work!
- Bonnet in dark blue.
- Top half of rear leather seat not in (but it's in the boot - cloth seat in instead)
- Black strip only removed from 1 side
She has a good solid engine, so a great base to work from if you want to do some mods. Or sell her off in parts to make some cash (just don't tell me about it or I'll cry!!)

I'm sure I've missed heaps of info about this car, so anyone who knows it feel free to add!

Currently located in Taree, but can bring to Sydney for a serious buyer. Would love to see her stay in the Fordmods 'family' rather than go as a trade-in.

Serious offers considered. Post here, PM, or call Felicity on 0402 468 930.

**note that the 1st pic is before colour-coded mirrors and before the new bar went on**
**2nd pic shows the front bar as it is today**

Is that engine still in it? I thought you sold it? If so, details on it?

No, that engine was sold long ago.

The car received a new engine, auto, exhaust, diff/rear axle, steering rack and more before being sold to Chicken. The block is from an EL which had 100,000KM on it, and we put on a brand new head on it.

You're still buying into a part of Fordmods history though :)

Hi Mick,
I'm just looking for reasonable offers. There are heaps of goodies on this car (including a low km very reliable engine), but realistically I'm not looking at the higher end of the price bracket because of the unfinished bits. PM with an offer if you like.

I should have mentioned that all of the white paint work is in really good condition - I've always kept it polished & waxed. So if you wanted to finish the painting only the bonnet & front bar need painting.

Fair enough! Better start doing some research then :?

Forgot another couple of bits!

Ghia interior includes the carpet kick panels and ghia sun visors (with the sliding mirror covers on both sides)

In terms of ballpark figure, I'd probably go as low as 4k. I reckon if I sold it for parts I'd get at least 5k+ but I just don't have the space, tools or time to do it (urgent sale).

Unfortunately I don't have interior shots at the moment because the car is at my parents place (4 hours away). If you are serious, I'll ask my mum to try to figure out how to use her camera  Let me know.

Bump! She's still in the shed :-( I'm heading up to my parent's place in 2 weeks so I'll take some photos then.
