I'll answer everything later on. I'm in Sydney at the moment, so I'll get to it when I get home.

Who needs keys when you have a sledgehammer!

These Kits are at a very good price, awesome upgrade if you still have all the stocl bushes from teh factory in your 10 year old car!
This will make it like a new car to drive again!

What do these bushes do how do they change the feel of the car? does it make the ride stiffer or somthing?

Pretty much makes it stiffer, and more 'grounded'.
You'll feel more comfortable taking any corner without it feeling lke a boat.

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't get home till late on Thursday, and had to head straight back into the sticks to do more work.

Note I have pushed each of the dates 2 weeks further out. Hopefully allow everyone to get a tax refund to maybe help pay for this kits.

No kits for the BAs?

Seem's they only do front kits for the B-series. The rears you have to buy each bush seperately. I can enquire about the front kit if you like?

I'm sure I could manage but time, or lack of it, is a big thing for me.

This is basically a PM I sent to nicco... Has pretty much all the necessary information.

"You dont really need any special tools to get the normal parts of the job done.

You will need a press to push the lower inner front control arm and lower rear control arm bushes. If you have an XR, the upper arms can be cut with a hacksaw and pushed put by hand (they are urethane). If its not an XR you will need to get them pushed as well.

Putting them back in is easy. All bushes bar the lower rear control arm are 2 piece. So you slide them in either side of the arm.

The new lower rear bushes are a single piece. Don't laugh, but I use my car to push them. I jack the car up, lube the outer bush up and put the arm and bush under the tire and lower it until most of the bush pops in. Then I hit it with a hammer and its in.

The rest you can pop out if you hit hard enough with a hammer, or they are 2 piece already. So its just manual labour for the rest.

I wont lie and say bushes are an easy job to do, its why they are always left to rot and fall apart. But they would be the single biggest thing in making your car feel solid on the road.

Maybe you could ask your mechanic how much it would be just to push the bushes alone and see what it costs. "

The last time I did it, it took around 5 hours to do.

btw, for anyone interested, i rang pedders and they will push bushes for $5 each if you take them the suspension arm. nice cheap option if you want to do it yourself but dont have a press. (like me  )

I might be in as well if you can get the BA/BF front kit, f**k off the liquid filled lower control arm bushes.

When people make a decsion, i'd appreciate if they can add or remove themselves from the list. Help me keep track of numbers as we get closer to the date.
