I have a factory fitted Steel drive shaft in my EL XR.. Alloy ones can be had for about $80 from wreckers like Narellan Wreckers..

you can pretty much guarantee nearly all alloy products are worth more than steel.

I wrecked a EF XR6 and a normal black one came out...I thought only GT's and cop cars had the alloy ones?

they all should have alloy ones, im guessing the ones with steel, they've been replaced for some reason possibly damage or maybe driveline vibrations etc.
