I have this smartlock by-pass for sale, Easy 3 wire installation, Earth, 12v and smartlock signal wire which goes to pin4 on the ECU, This unit is designed for running a smartlock ecu in a non smartlock equipped car.

Could this be used for running a remote start alarm in a 'smartlock' fitted car ?
What is the make / model of the unit ? Very interested pending some more info

Yes this is perfect for running a remote start.
I would reccomend another immobilser is fitted, becuase you will basically disabling smartlock which is the factory fitted immobiliser. I bought it off a guy from this forum, he's some electronics whiz from WA, he made it himself, I looked into by-passing smartlock alot, and found it's basically a square wave signal at a certain frequency, which is excatly what this unit creates. I paid $150 + postage from him about 12 months ago and it worked perfectly untill I pulled it out when I put my car back to stock to sell it. I have a printed Installation guide also. It will suit your application nicely.
