Also, it is NOT Region Code 2...it can play *some* R2 discs...it is Region Code 4 - so all Aussie DVDs work no worries.

Tested it last night to make sure it's all A1 (an excuse to play with it really :P) - confirming it works A1 and comes complete with all the bits and pieces :

1 X Main unit (DVD, DVD R / RW, MP3 etc)
1 X Remote control
1 X Remote eye (for use with non Alpine screens)
1 X Wiring loom
1 X Pair RCAs with another single RCA for video
1 X Mounting kit (cradle, screws, brackets & faceplate)
1 X Manual and box.

These are a piece of piss to wire up - and can be mounted pretty much anywhere.

When the unit is powered up, it really looks the part too - has stylish blue LEDs which really make the brushed aluminium look on the front stand out

I am starting to have crazy ideas of another DVD player for another screen....but really shouldn't be thinking such things at this point in time

Will personally deliver to anyone in the Melbourne Metro area :)

skidder - not budging on price mate - as you can see it's cheap enough

THe remote eye is so the remote control unit works - you see when connected to an Alpine headunit / screen, many of them have remotes already - so instead of having two, you can wire it in a way so that any existing remote you have with an existing screen can be used (pending it's Alpine)...but for the non-Alpine screens, Alpine have been nice enough to include this remote eye which enables you to have the control of the DVD player with any non-Alpine screen (dunno if that makes sense ).

Dilberg - It is just a player (DVD, VCD, MP3, CD etc) - it is not a headunit...it would go nicely with ANY screen - it connects via RCA to any screen that accepts RCA in :)

No worries mate - see how you go...even if you were keen - I'm happy to hold a deposit if it suits.

Cheers,
Steve
