Hey,
Getting a 2500 hi stall installed in the next few weeks and was just wondering what sort of quarter mile times i should expect to run in my au along with the other mods i have already (Read Sig)
I was hoping a mid to high 14'....is it possible or am i kidding myself haha

mid to high 14s is fairly reasonable I think.

Anywhere between 14.6 - 14.8 depending on launch, air temp, etc.

I would be stoked with that time....as soon as i get it on the track ill let everyone know how i went anyway....just a bit worried about the state of my tyres there getting a little bald haha, might have to invest in some new tryes before i go to....
Have you got your xr6 turbo on the track yet downingj? just wondering as my mate just got a xr6 turbo ute 6 speed manual and it goes pretty hard

Not yet mate :D . I'm trying to get a drag day happening. But failing that, there is a drag meet in September or something which I will definently be attending, so I'll let you know how I go. Hoping for a 14.2 or better.

Just to give some idea of how hard yours may go, there is a guy on this forum (Corey Munday) who has ran a flat 15.0 in his VCT AU XR6. Manual, headers, cat back and a K&N. So based on that, you would expect yours to run a mid to high 14. But then again, I reckon Coreys car is a bit of a freak, as it's exceptionally quick for what is done to it.

15 flat with standard cam is pretty impressive...manual's always seem to be faster... do you think it would be worth getting new tyre's before i take it to the track as now if i load it up too like 1500 and take off it spins a bit so i would think i wouldnt get much traction once i get my stallie on

Depends.

Where are you loading it up and taking off now? Traffic lights?

You'll find that a track has a shedload more grip than the road, so it may compensate for less than ideal tyres...

if its spinning when stalling it to 1500rpm then youd defanitly want to get new tires, after all you would want to get the full potential out of your hi-stall wont you???

Stiddy on FordForums was running Pacie extractors and 3" exhaust on an AUI XR6 HP manual ... and he got a 14.9 ... no other engine mods ... unopened engine.

He's done more work to it now .. but hasn't run it since.
