had a pretty good night at WSID... was bloody cold!! around 7-8degree celcious... and next to no wind... raced vince there.. and good to see brett running the mont again!... congrats to vince on his 14.3 sec run... his new PB.. and better luck next time brett! slicks will make a world of difference....

i ran...

13.5 106mph
13.4 105 mph
14.2 105 mph
13.4 105 mph

so was very happy to be hitting mid 14s.. best 60 footer was 2.059 and very happy with that on stock 17's..
The only preperation for the car was to lose the spare tyre/jack and air filter... -thats it!.... am very happy tonight....

So you ran your car with no air filter?? The nice cold air would have been perfect, the stock intercoolers need every bit of help they can get!!
13.4 is a very good time!! well done!

Brilliant times!!!

You must have been getting a super clean launch based on your ET vs MPH?

That 6 speed really does make all the difference compared to the 4 speed.

Man, you sure know how to launch Falcons!!!

I've pulled a 14.3 @ 102mph in my 4spd XR6T meaning I can't launch for s**t and / or I've got grip issues (which I did that day!!!).

Onya!

and they are quite a differnt beast!..

4 litre NA with lotsa low down power.. 5 spd manual..

4 litre turbo with lotsa top end.. 6 speed auto..

+launching usualy at 35oorpm for the EF 5 spd with a lil clutch slip..
+launching the BF at 22oorpm just stalling it against the brake...
+both 2.0 sixty footers with a good launch
