the ute would eat it, if the race ever actually occured. something tells me this is a hypothetical.
ute is only 40kgs heavier ( 1577 vs 1537 kg) better hp and torque, plus the better diff ratio and lsd. its a no brainer on paper.

man, i thought people had forgotten bout this as it wasnt very significant haha. ova bout a 1k road the au won by bout 40-50 meters.
 he had put a good exhaust on it though. thats my excuse as well as it being an xr

au's had sr packs, they're basically a futura with a kit and wheels.
your 5spd ef should have whipped it if the au was auto, mine used to beat au xr6's (i had the same mods as yours).
