Setting my EF XR6 up for track work, I have been looking at KYB AGX adjustables but have read some very poor reviews regarding loss of adjustment over a very short period of time. I dont realy need adjustable shocks, I would rather get good quality non adjustable shocks as apposed to cheap adjustable shocks. Open to all suggestions as I have never had good shocks before.

konis, could get the 'reds' new for under a grand for a set.
maybe even the sports/yellows now, it's been awhile since i bought them.
'reds' are still adjustable, just not externally, you have to have them out of the car.

this is the way I would go as well. Konis are good value for money without being silly.

pretty much anywhere, Repco, Bursons, Autobarn.
any local suspension specialist.
you might find a guy on ebay or something that stocks them and can get them in cheaper then the above mentioned places though.

Special aka "Koni Reds"
Front - 82-2432
Rear - 80-2513SP1 (sp1 denotes lowered suspension apparently, i don't know if the shock body is any shorter then a non "SP1" shock though)

Sports aka "Koni Yellows"
Front - 8241-1153Sport
Rear - 8041-1067Sport (or 8041-1067SP1, as above)

wagon rears, they only do a Red.

Thanks Steady ED, I will start the price search for the Koni yellows. I will be going with Lovell's sport low springs should be a good match.

90/10's are shocks that you use in front of a car to get maximum weight transfer at the drags.
Would be like driving a pogo stick.
I have Bilsteins in my NF and they are great. They might be coming up for sale at the end of the year too.

i'd like to see video of these track cars with 90/10 shocks

a "90/10" is a shock that is valved to have alot of damping in bump and very little damping in bound, you put them in the front of a drag car to help weight transfer to the rear.
they do not work well for turning corners at all.

edit: pipped at the post by EVL098, no third divedends.
