Really though what power levels is any one after ??? The std manifold will take 400 rwkw easy...Thats way above what most people expect and theres way more things to spend good earned money on before the Plenum needs any attention...
Like fuel supply, adding a 255 pump is not gong to do it.. The std auto won't eather.. ignition may require some attention also...
The main reason to change is have throttle body closer to intercooler outlet and maybe bigger plenum size...But again are we building a good strong street engine ?? Or a race engine ??

your right ebxr8, the biggest thing for me is getting the TB to the front. shorter plumbing, and it's not going over the rocker cover near the turbo getting hot again

looking at the bases of the two examples of plenums you have pictures of , nizpro's manifold would be a better option.

Yes , amazing on some of the prices of these manifolds ranging between $1500 PLUS makes you wonder why so expensive for what they are.

The plazma_man unit is a cnc base plate machined and them pressed sheet alloy and welded unit , claims even cylinder fill and no venture vacuum effect caused over cylinder number one .

How much truth in this , not sure.

Even all the other units people fabricate manifolds it is extremely expensive.

On one of the VL turbo commodore websites where there is a lot of competition for you buck they guys can make a plenum up for you around the $700 mark and also get a double entry and return line fuel rail system for prevent fuel cavitation in the fuel rail and again even fuel distribution along the fuel rail on high powered engines.

If anyone wants a link to the VL site drop me a pm and will give you details.

I have fabricated my own plenum , $ 100 worth of aluminium and several hours of labour.

If someone wants one , there is a young man " ebs_4l , tjb45 " on this forum who also makes the Falcon I6 4lt Turbo PLENUM ( intake manifold ) customers maybe give him a go , here is a link http://fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21242

cheers
