Best to hook it up via the ECU... easier too.

There should be 3 wires - a power, a signal and an earth?

Power - hook it up to something that gives power on accessories or ignition.

Signal - grab a workshop manual and find out which pin of the ECU has the HEGO signal. Just strip a bit of insulation off the wire in the loom and connect the signal wire. Solder or heat shrink, whatever you prefer.

Ground - important to connect this to the HEGO GND pin of the ECU. As above, look up the wiring diagram and find out which ECU pin has the HEGO GND. Strip a bit of insulation off the wire connected to this pin and connect the ground wire from the a/f meter.

If you dont use the HEGO GND, you'll get s**t readings. Been there, done that... and thanks to XR9UTE for setting me straight!!
