Hey,

Looking mighty fine there!!!

Not a criticism, but i would ditch the plastic curve on the throttle body, piping would look so much better if it went all the way to the intake. I like the green paint, suits the EF/EL's

Cheers

Daz

well i am a 3rd yr app grease monkey so i was able to do it pretty cheap but if your not or not that mechanically minded or dont have many mechanically minded friends it can be alot. my mates au turbo ute ows him around 30 g for the turbo but thats a fully built motor etc etc basically the works. there is alot of little jobs involved that can take time. id recomend having another car as a daily driver but thats just me.
basic price list of what i spent
turbo kit from snort performance -$3250
intercooler piping not much bought a cheap kit of ebay
eliminator chip custom tuned $1350
gfb adjustable bov -$500(cost way too much but it looks cool and have 18 differewnt volumes)
had most of my stainless water cooling stuff tig welded by a work mate
various turbo hoses $250
clutch to suit $600
got fuel pressure lines made up for fuel reg -$100
4 inch pod $100
exhaust cost $1100 stainless 3.5"" from turbo back to cat then 3"" with waste gate plumbed in $1000 (mates rates)
i used ba turbo injectors which were about $200 exchange from repco (trade price) will be upgrading soon to ford motorsport injectors
various gauges -$200
oil catch can -$100
relocate battery to boot (bout $150 did it myself)
thats all i can remember now but there is more ill put it up if i i remember plus countless man hrs and pain in the a** getting towed to my work(no hoist at my house) and to the exhaust shop and to get it tuned etc etc but it sounds awesome and feels like its floating when on full boost.../ oh almost forgot the $3000 for the new t5 z spec from malwood auto which is almost dead

Ok little update. Out for a boost on the weekend when car started running like a dog sounded like 3 clys were firing anyways took her home and tried to start it and the engine locked up... eeesssshhhk but after a few clicks with the key she managed to turn over again but not start. Pulled plugs to find cly num 2 full of coolant so I had a hydraulic lock up. Going to pull enigine out and give her a birthday new rings bearing and get everything crack tested maybe some new pistons well see what cond they are in. Also planning on using a jim mock custom turbo head with stainless steel oversized valves and valve springs and one of jmm's turbo grind cams and some vernier cam gears. This will keep me busy for a while. Will just have to settle for takin my manny mont to the drags and see what times shell pull

Howd you end up sorting the reg, you were having issues in your other thread?
Spewing you popped it so quick, how much boost were you running?

I have to ask... do you guys get much lag with the long path from the turbo to the inlet manifold?

Only interested as I used to have an RS Turbo scubbie and the intercoolor sat on top of the engine - real short path between turbo and inlet.

Cheers
RD
