I took mine to a place to get a quote to put in my recently purchased intorcooler, and they don't really know how to go about it.

They have taken photos form every possible angle and will do some investigation, but I thought I would post up the question here to help as well.

Where have you had yours done?
Can you post pics and/or give advice on how to go about it?

Cheers

Is the issue with mounting the thing or plumbing the bastard up?

You have the same blower outlet alignement as i do which will make plumbing... interesting.

I've done it mate, there should be a couple of pics, but the bastard, as martin said is getting the bend from the outlet of the blower.
I had some more pics, but i don't have my computer anymore, so i've probably lost all of them.
My cooler has two mounting threads, top and bottom, i got some 5mm thick steel strips and bolted them to the cooler and then, to the car, using different methods.
I can go into more detail if needed...
From the pics in my gallery, you might see how its done anyway.
By the way, you'll have to cut holes in the car, and i found i HAD to move the battery to the boot, to get the return side from the cooler to fit up into the engine bay.

BTW the blower outlet can be moved around if you need to get a better/different angle for the plumbing.

Loosen the bolts that hold the housing together, remove the outer housing and reposition. Then tuen impeller by hand to make sure clearances are still OK.

i think it was brendan mock, when his el was blown, who used the el intake, the bit on tb with ford logo on it, for the bend from blower outlet.

Cheers. I will pass on the details.

Does anyone care to let me know their cost as well?? If you don't want it public, can you PM me?

With the amount I am being quoted at the moment, I would be better off putting it towards a killer rebuild for the power gain.

The plan is to also pick up the intake manifold & turn it around for less plumbing. I was looking at an American one, but I have been advised that I can do that with the current one as well.

Here is a pic of my current under bonnet.

Cheers for the help.
