U need to get ford to link the new ecu to the cars bcm, or it won't go anywhere, AND if ur xrturbo ecu is from a bf it can't be mapped in to your ba, u will have to get a ba xrturbo ecu if that is the case

ANY mechanic with a decent scan tool can do this, Both my Snap-on Modis and my carman scan lite can do it, I know the Bosch units can do too.

You are not required to get a ford dealer to do it.

So its not switching the fuel pump on? You can do it the proper way as described above or you can bodgy it up by running the fuel pump on its own separate circuit.

to be sure , pull the back seat out, and pull the three hoses off the pump, then prime the pump, see iff fuel comes out, if not, u could have a s**t hose popped off on the the actual sender unit. happened to me, car would run idol on throttle body cleaner, but as soon as i stopped spraying it, the car died, and i could hear the pump prime and everything, till i tried the above and found my culprit, a faulty hose...in the sender unit. if u got t/b cleaner laying around, spray it into the throttle body, while some one tries to crank it, if it runs, its nearly 100% a fuel issue, and should get u one step closer to firing it up..

hmmmm...check to see if u have spark? try the t/b cleaner in the throttle body, and see if the car runs, if so like i said it will probs be a fuel issue. If it doesnt run on t/b cleaner then u have some fault finding to do, i dont know too much about xr turbo motor swaps, because i just slapped a kit on my N/A. But, no doubt it is probably something so small and simple. does the car constantly crank when u try starting it, until u release the key from the ignition, or does it crank and stall straight away.?
