Hey i have a bf XR6T just had new coils and spark plugs done 2 days ago every time your in 3rd 4th doing high reves the car cuts out or more like it drops a cylinder any opinions on what it could be

There is a big difference between cutting out and a cylinder dropping out, which one and at what rev's. Have you had a scan to see if any information has ben logged in the freeze frame on a scan tool.

When it does it its like it drops a cylinder there's no power its sound like its running on5 cylinders have to push the clutch in rev it then it goes away and had it put on scan it doesn't come up with anything

At what rev's dos it start missing and when it dos if you hold the throttle open will it die or just sound like one cyl is out.

Sometimes 4500 or 5000 its not always at the same revs and just sounds like ive lost a cylinder

any mods done? what boost you running? Plugs gaped right? IIRC If your running higher than stock boost on stock plug gap the spark can "blow out"

Yer a couple bigger injectors stage 2 intercooler couple others running 8psi boost yep done by a mechanic that nose alot about fords nd he's having a look at it tomorrow he thinks he nose what it is but cheers for ya input guys

I assume you mean valve spring, you don't get a stuck valve spring, either it is broken, weak and the lifter pumped up or the valve it self can stick.

Y does it only do it every now nd then it doesn't do it all the time if it's broken it would be doing it all the time

Going by that statement it is still not fixed, so what did your mechanic say on the remedy. have you narrowed it down to which cylinder is playing up, and I am not convinced on the stuck valve spring theory.

He said the valve spring is getting stuck at higher revs the under load when the car is boosting not yet narrow down i just havnt had time to drop it off it doesn't do it in 1st or 2nd mainly 4th and 5th

If it was a valve spring it would do it in every gear regardless of roadspeed.

Hey all i found out what was up with my car it was the waste gate getting stuck the turbo was building up to much boost so the car would brake down so it wouldn't hurt the motor cheers all for ya help
