Hey there, ive read through all our tech guides, but the questions for my requirements have not been answered.

I've had a high stalled, 12psi capa supercharger, p&p head, high lift cam, 2.5 inch exhaust straight through with pacemaker extractors on wide 18's. 6.3second 0-100 on an average launch, no watercooling or intercooler.

Now ive removed all that, and i mean all of it, of course i miss it and want some of it back.
I've had a sprintgas mixer setup fitted and i want to keep that, which is where a sc could come in nicely..

What im after is around 160-80rwkw's retaining my 2 1/4 inch exhaust and extractors, not requiring any engine work, that will be near undetectable without lifting the bonnet.

Being from Castlemaine, the local hotrod shop have an electric clutch for their commodore sc kit, which i think would be a beautiful thing to have wired inline with the lpg/petrol switch, so that when your on lpg, the supercharger doesnt produce boost (since a few kits, when the belt is disconnected, dont provide restriction), but when your on petrol, different story.

This works well for a few reasons, the sc clutchable kit from the rodshop here, being clutchable, is only defectable when its turned on. So if its not turned on, you cannot be defected.. Zing!

I want boost from 1500-3500max (pref lower), so it would be quite torquey, very early boosting for smooth and predictable acceleration.

It would be a huge bonus to have this on lpg also, so if we can have a b2 converter fitted or perhaps a 5/7th boost line to the breather on the existing converter (no tune) we would be onto a winner. Pref no ecu upgrade, but if a generic chip can be had - thats no problem.
No intercooler, dont want it seen, i want to run a water spray setup boost activated, run a 20L tank in the boot or something inconspicuous ;)

Budget; 2,500 otherwise i will just get another car, but id prefer play with the current one :)

Does anyone have any contacts or thoughts that could help me achieve such a setup ?

Would make a great doco! :)

Thanks in advance
Matt

You arent going to find a good supercharger for a 4 litre that has a clutch.

The one the rodshop uses is too small.

All your other questions are just the usual questions asked in this section.

Run a balance line to your converter for the gas. Turbo or supercharge it depending on what you prefer. 160-180rwkw is bugger all, both would do it fine.

The 2 1/4 exhaust will be a massive restriction. When I had my stock exhaust and a 3540 the tuners wouldnt tune it to more than 3 psi because they said it would be bad for the turbo. It made 120ish rwkw. lol

I went back with a 3 inch exhaust and it made 80 kw more.

Thanks for that Dan, do you know what kind of power i could run with the current converter and how do i go about finding more info for the balance line?

Appreciate the help :)

Ive got no idea if your setup can work with boost.

Generally you run a half inch hose from the intercooler piping into the balance port on the gas converter. I was running an impco B2 and gas research carb.

Run a gas research carby & then you can get all the power you want on LPG as well as on petrol.

Cheers

Many ppl have done it in Blow thru & Draw thru forced induction setups, and with a good tune get good AFR's & good power. Need to have a good tuner tho.

Cheers
