Hey guys I'm building an el turbo (stage2 turbo kit) with stock bottom end, have everything sorted and ready to go. I'm only gunna run 6-9psi with a good tune. Just wondering if a decompression plate will be needed with that boost range?
Cheers.

It should be fine on standard compression. They are pretty low standard anyway

And yours was an au bottom end ( weaker rods/higher comp)

I done a compression test and every cylinder is reading 200psi is that too much compression?

no,not necessarily. its a touch higher than what you normaly see, but my au engine had 200psi each cyl and still copped up to 15psi boost, it just means the tune has to be good and its best to run at least 98 fuel..

2 key things that need to be good, the fuel system and the tune.

a lazy fuel system that cant supply the right amount of fuel is a disaster waiting to happen and same goes for the tune, a poor tune will kill a boosted engine pretty fast..
