Depends how far you have to go? Take it steady, and it shouldnt be too loud, the only thing you have to watch is carbon monocide fumes getting into the interior. If it does, youll get sleepy and die :P

40 mins is a bit risky.
its loud even just babying it unless its all downhill !
and possibility of big fines if you happen to drive past an unhappy police officer. could do it early in the morning or something i guess.

As its 40 minutes away im assuming you live in the country and will have to take roads around 80-110km/h.

Could you imagaine the sound of a turbo 4L with no exhaust driving through the middle of the night when everything else is quiet at 110km/h

40minutes is too far though, hire a trailer.

I drove 75 k's into Dubbo with just the dump, drive like you have an egg between the pedal and your foot and you may be lucky. It really comes down tot he cop, if you have an appointment with the exhaust place, you'd imagine they would be reasonable.

As you've probably already figured the turbo muffles it a lot. Nothing near as loud as straight pipes off an NA motor.

I stuck my Turbo EF on a truck today. $60 for a 25 minute drive. I thought doing that was better than taking the risk of drawing attention and getting a canary on an unengineered car.
