Hey everyone...i just bought an AU Fairmont Ghia 5Ltr and i want to do sum serious mods....Now i have bought 4 grand to spend.....I heard a supercharger is really good or i could spend the 4 grand on engine work....I rather a supercharger cause i can turn them on and off and take it out when i sell the car....

Does anyone know of a place where i can find a cheap supercharger for my 5.0 windsor motor?

or...

Is anyone selling one??

4g aint enough for a supercharging kit.
If you want to supercharge it some time down the line heres wat u do.
go buy things that will suit the superchargered motor. e.g
-extractors large free flowing collectors.
-full exhaust system with high flow cats and only single muffler.
-driveline such as an lsd with good gears if you dont already have one like 3.45 higher e.g 4.11
you will spend 4g quickly on things that will support you in supercharging the car in the future.

Supercharger is best bang for buck. Keep the money in the bank and save for it.

or if you get one of those castle maine rod shop supercharger kits for your commodore (hrmm... :lol:) and they have a clutch on the front of them. very cool, very low boost too.

also very cheap

They do one to suit for $2200 with out the accesories but they do a few kits.

I am contemplating one my self.

More than a brand new Vortech.
Anything from about 3k minimum, to 6k i think.
Usually around the 4-5k for a spanka.

GO TURBO!! lol if ya do save ya money which is a good idea go through CAPA. they may be expensive but ya get what ya pay for.. castle maine rod shop one's arn't all that flash.. a bloke i work with has one of their "quiet" chargers and with a 3" exhaust and a 3.8L the charger is louder than both and he has probs with it.. lol just my 2c worth. good 2 see ya have a 5.0L anyway
