i recently ran my EB XR8 manual and got a 14.6@94mph with a mid 0.7 reaction time. The only mods i have done, Underdrive Pulleys, 65mm SVO throttle, 70mm AU maf, twin thermo's, and an AU tickford intake into a K&N pannel filter. I'm still running std HO manifold and E7 heads. That time was on a single spinner 3.27 diff and still carrying the spare tyre and a bunch of clothes in the back seat. A while ago i had the car dynoed with only the 65mm throttle and got 180rwhp. Is there something else done to this car ie. cam port/polish, or is that time wat i should expect.

Thats some pretty good figures out of the old beast!
With all of those mods, i would think that might still be a few tenths quicker than what i would of thought it would've been. Then again...

I'm sure some other guys on here would have a much better idea than me.
Still you've ran a good time, none the less.

14.6 is pretty damn good for a basically stock EB, probably the fastest I have heard of actually. Cam would help a touch but youi aren't going to see any decent results with those heads and intake on there.

the time shocked me, i couldnt keep the smile of my face. Here i was thinkin flat 15 and then i run that

I realise the heads and intake are restrictions

I was running similar times as cars that have 2031 cams, GT40 and explorer gear

Yeah the majority run low 15's, you sure you don't have some secret mods hidden in there somewhere :D

Thats wat i'm wondering ay, 347 stroker reckons the heads have been of and its at least got a cam of some sort but its all unknown, there's something funny cooking in there

thats still happening, am looking into a 392 stroker 351 bottom end atm. Probably not going to boost the 302

Wat i do with this motor will go into my bro's car when he gets it

Yeah just going on the times I wouldn't be suprised if it has some head work and a cam in it, even then its a good time.

That time was actually run against me! I was very impressed with your run and find it also hard to believe that there's not more done to your car. I told you briefly at willowbank about my cars' specs but I'll add them here for comparison. Out of interest I ran a 14.544 @ 95.89MPH. I've attached our timeslip.

I also pulled 208.6RWHP with a weird MAF combo running lean and I'm expecting around 220RWHP from my next dyno since I've gone back to a correctly calibrated 55mm MAF which was how I ran the car at willowbank.

My car:

Factory 3.45LSD
265/35/R18s on rear.

Intake

- EL GT snorkel and custom intake pipe from lower bumper to air-box.

- K&N panel filter.

- 65mm ED XR8 Sprint throttle body

- ED XR8 Sprint (cobra) EGR equipped intake manifold. Lower intake manifold has been ported and port-matched to a Felpro 1250 intake gasket.

Engine

- 1.7:1 FMS roller rockers

- Ported standard E7TE heads port-matched to Felpro 1250 intake gasket and standard exhaust gasket.

- 1.84â€￾/1.54â€￾ valves (standard sizes are 1.72â€￾/1.46â€￾) with cam friendly springs.

- crane 2031 cam

- BPT under-drive crank pulley

Exhaust

- Pacemaker Tri-Y extractors

- 2 ½ inch exhaust with single lukey muffler.

Ignition, i was contemplating putting 265's on my 18's (EL ghia too) , I was wondering if u could post a pic of your tryes? (I have a few pics of your car already on my pc, but wanna check out those tyres! )The rear must look fat as! .

Also, what brand tyres did you get, and how much $$ ? (Im thinking about going cheapish)

Your help would be great :)

Thats an awesome time for an EB my mate ran his EB XR8 with Pacemaker extactors and 3 inch exhaust at the creek and ran a best time of 15.7 and an average of 16.3 i reckon you might have a very healthy engine there.

All i can say is i still can't get the smile of my face!

Much appreciated ignition for putting up the slip to prove it, thanksI'm going to pull the manifold off and have a look at the heads, rockers and associated gear, i might have a explorer manifold and EB GT computer going on soon, we'll see wat happens

That time was still on std 30deg timing but i'm mucking around with that atm

I'll be going to willowbank again in a couple of weeks to see wat it does without the spare tyre and back seat and adjusted timing

Yups i was there too. Good effort. I ran a 14.47 that night. I couldn't get out of the hole that night. I've got about 180rwkw (240rwhp) so that was a great effort. :D

You might have some other mod in there but your biggest advantage is the weight of your car compared to the AU's and so on. With a set of gt40p's (or better) and an Explorer inlet you'll be scratching at 13's for sure.
