Hi Fellas,

I know this is a bit of a loaded question but I just wanted to put it out there. I am picking up a EL XR8 in the next week. Its the 185kw with 3.45LSD all stock and factory.
I am looking at doing the following mods
1. Full exhaust system with decent extractors
2. CAI
3. Custom CAM
4. Aftermarket alloy heads
5. Under drive pulley kit
6. Full aftermarket ECU
7. Bigger throttle body
8. Porting the intake manifold (maybe even aftermarket)
9. Roller rockers
10. Bigger injectors and fuel pump
And finally a full custom tune.

Can someone please tell me what sort of power can I expect to achieve?

And alsowhat sort power do the 347 strokers make (just rough figures)
Both natrually asiprated?

Thanks in advance

Thanks mate.

What sort of quarter mile times? These things take a lot of work to get up and boggie!

How about the 347 stroker?

Thanks for the link mate. It doesnt really say the mods the cars have.

I am just after a nice neat cruise that sounds tough as nails!!!

And has a bit of up and go. 12.5 quaters would ultimate.....

But I am assuming I would have to go stroker for that....

And I do not wish to fit a turbo or supercharger or NOS... All of my other cars already have this stuff so I would prefer a NA.

by the looks of it, it will defiantly have to be a stroker. 12.5 quarter would be very fun on the street.

damn.... I was really hoping to get away with bolt ons...

Aww well. Whats the quickest I can go with bolt ons?

Would flat 13's be possible with the mods I have mentioned above?

I really want to keep it neat as its a nice ride which is all orginal and molested.

Yeah id say you would be able to do low 13's or 13 flat with the mods you listed.

Or will it just have to be a stroker!

I'm looking at ~180rwkw in my EB, which is the most basic setup. I have GT40P's, T3 Cam, Ported Explorer manifold, 65mm throttle body, 70mm MAF, Pacemaker 4000's and a 3" Exhaust. For a properly setup and tuned 5L, 240rwkw won't be out of the question, it just depends if you are willing to spend the cash to build it right.

Get the alloys ported. The guy I'd talk to would be Tony @ Knights Race Engines in SA.

No stress mate, it won't be for a couple of months yet. I am just a few weeks of completing my supercharged EL.

I will be getting all my word done through Paul at cve! Top bloke he is. He knows his way around a falcon.

I noticed your in vic, try SRE engines. (Spencer race engines) they have full engine packs drop in that would more than make the power you're after.
