Fit good valve sprngs, can be done without taking heads off.. I had Wiend Xcellerator inlet with little 465 cfm Holley four barrel with extractors and it reved well... Mine had a Gt style cam and alittle porting on exhaust ports...

253 sound good, and they um sound good, they go nowhere.... It's amazing the difference it makes going from a 3.625 inch bore to a 4 inch bore makes (308).
You will find that JGSW**** are late model blocks, the old JGNumerical are older blocks.

From memory the 302W had the engine number at the back of the block behind the intake, the 289W had them on the front beside the water pump... Or was it the other way around?
Please correct me if i'm wrong, it's been a while since i played with an old windsor.

your right on the location of the number its on the left side rear just below the last spark plug.

So you say the JGSW** are late model motors like what they but in the xr BA'S

My AU starts with JGLW, my EF was SW.
Not sure when they got rid of the numerical after JG, i think it was around EB?

BA's didnt have windsors.

They have 5.4 Modular engines.
