It will be nose heavy. a 347 windsor would be a better choice.

Stroked 302. You could always just do a 331 if you want to make it 5.4

yep, spend a whole heap on an alloy block for it, or go with a mustang cobra alloy 4.6

Why not, better bang for your buck then V8's. If your determined on a V8 I would probabably look elsewhere, Boss motor is a big heavy donk, better off with an alloy 4.6 modular. Not sure about the 4.6 but the Boss motor is a 60 degree motor which means its going to be a tight a*** fit in the engine bay of an ED, I have seen it done to an XE and it required custom headers and it was mightly close to the strut towers
