Hey guys just wondering how hard it is to fit a 351 windsor into an ed I'll be running straight gas so emissions in vic at least aren't a problem just gotta run cats.

But yeah how hard is it to stick a 351 into a ed.

I was told it was quite straight forward.

Only issue I think is the in/out on the radiator is on the wrong sides.

I think you should delete that last line the rest is correct.

How Hard Is It To Stick A 351C Into A NF ?

Just Curious As I Imagine It Would Be Harder For A Cleveland

The V8 e series have a hard metal pipe to run the coolant from the passenger side too the drivers side on the bottom hose.
What engine did your ED leave the factory with?

Engine mounts have the same bolt spacing for a Windsor and cleveland and the bell housing is the same pattern the only problem will be the exhaust.

It's a xr8 so no issues with mounts etc.. the motor is gone thats why I wanna stick a 351 in it I wanna run straight gas like I said for emissions and less headaches with computers etc..

I haven't got the cash right now but how hard is to stick a blower onto it with straight gas.

That makes life much easier.
You should be able to get it emission compliant on petrol with a 351 windsor but I don't know the rules in Victoria.

Yeah I'm not too savvy with computers so I'll just stick to the gas I had a esp 10 years ago with a 351 clevo on straight gas made 400hp no probs and I know gas well.
Just gotta figure out what to do for an ignition system I was looking at those ford racing crate motors looks like they come with a dizzy so just gotta find out if it'll run gas cause the compression ratio is perfect for gas 10.5:1 is ideal for gas and thats what some of their motors run.

very nice.
351w should have been standard or at least an option in the XR8s back then.
from the few builds iv read that have done it, the only problem seems to be the headers, then you have to deal with engineers and the mind numbing rta.
