I know you can Dazzle, as you will probably be doing mine. I would like 2in primaries with 4 into 1 collectors on a 3 inch collector please.

the local chicken shop owner/friend had his extractors made for $1500.00 many yrs ago by his mate which worked on V8 super cars and learnt many things for extractors.
To me these extractors are worth $2500.00 as they work and many Sydney big V8 engine builders only use him for extractors and exhausts and they look awsome http://www.bestmufflers.com.au/ Go to his web store and click on custom headers

The trouble is these days everyone has jumped on the custom exhaust bandwagon and the price has been jacked up something cruel. I've just been looking at getting a Manta system for my pursuit ute but the cost is out of this world!? I'll be buying some stainless pipe and mufflers and building my own when I have time

Nope not coated just painted in Pacemaker blue. Quality is A1 fully tig welded etc. No pictures as they are now coated in baked on mud from the last time I swamped the truck and I also dont have anything to prove. Another exhaust joint here wanted to sting me $3000 for a set of pipes. Told him to stick that quick smart.

Hi everyone first time post, Your post has been pretty helpful been doing my own similar conversion but on an EB. Building a 427 Stroker EFI on a 351W Dart sportsman block and run into my first snag with the fuel rail, did you buy yours from a F150 Lightning truck or just change the rubber hose on the 5.0L rail? was just going to shove a normal fuel line in it with a hose clamp but theres going to be alot of pressure in the lines (chasing about 600 - 700HP), Thanks for listening guys

The power you are chasing is otside the factory fuel rails capability, unless you are running serious pressure in the rail.
I woulld look at any of the aftermarket rails for a 5.0/5.8 from the likes of Summit racing or Jegs. They are the cheapest and best option in my opinion. Check my build thread for details on the mallory kit i used. Brett

Yea, thanks for that I got a set of Professional products 10600, anodized allum blue + braided lines which are pretty nice from summit:)
Got most of my parts needed for the build, only two things I need now are engine mounts and a new set of custom extractors, Did you guys have any trouble with your engine mounts? I'm having trouble with the 5L ones fitting they are about half a centimeter off from the mount to block. There's a little lip on the block that is stopping the mount from moving the half centimeter I need to line up. I know with the F150's they have a 1" spacer that goes between the block and the mount, but that doesn't work for me either because the dart motor has two coolant line fittings coming out of the passenger side in between the two engine mount bolt holes on the block that stops the spacer from fitting so i've had a few idea's just wanted to see what you guys thought, 1. TIG up the old bolt hole, weld a metal plate for reinforcement and then drill a new bolt hole 2. cut a bit out of the spacers what do you guys think? thanks for your help guys |

I might just add as well, i'm leaning towards modifying the mount for the bonnet clearance
rather than the 1" lift from the spacer |

Do these guys think their customers are dum or something. Dunno - I assume you referring to the 302W multi point fuel for $3850? I guess depends on how reconditioned they are... can get aussie HO for about $2200 - $2400 and AU explorer motor for $4500 at wreckers down here in SA but bit of a lucky dip on their condition and kms... i got my AU Explorer V8 motor for $575 essentially brand new and untouched from my tafe |

427stroker, I would switch to a an EF-L K-member and use mounts from the same because they are much better and stronger than the EB ones. You may gain the block clearance you need at the same time?

Thanks XR9,
I've finished off the build with an EB cross member, in the end I had to slot the engine mount bolt holes about 10mm. Used edelbrock victor EFI intake which is pretty tall and with the block being an inch taller as well had to cut through the bonnet + brace and reinforce the whole lot. luckily the EB GT bonnet scoop just fits over it and looks normal Currently at the tuners. i'll keep you guys posted with power figures |
