Hello all

I am hoping to get a little info here, i went to my local ford dealership last week in search of a bigger better cold air intake for my 5l au ute! i was told by the so called parts specialist that they do not exist!!! is this true and if so what are my choices for cheap performance upgrades in this area??

any help here would be greatly appreciated
cheers scotty

Do you have an XR8 ute?... if so then you have the biggest Ford make for the AU. If not then ask for a Tickford snorkle.

Tickford snorkles have pretty much gone, the BA Turbo is exactly the same without the wings on it.

try ss inductions or c.a.p.a they have them to suit or got to bptmotorsport.com as they have them to suit you model falcon the ford dealer you spoke to is full of s**t like most ford dealers as they dont like to see people use afteremarket part as they dont make money from them

G&D Performance do one for the AU's, they have seen quite good gains from them, up to 12rwkw I think...

I would put one on mine but they don't fit E series

I've got one of those sitting here to go on my AU, it's massive, only thing is it's missing the small piece to go on the airbox, have to try and get one from somewhere.

becareful about fitting a c.a.i that covers the complete front ent as you will take air flow away from the radiator and then you will get temp problems they have found this with the ss inductions bigmouth c.a.i that fits the ba falcons
