Anyone with 5.0L engine as in EL to AU fitted the adjustable version of the roller rocker (YT2028) on to the engine?
Was wondering if the adjustables still clear the rocker cover or if you need to get new covers. No one as yet can give me a definate answer so thought one of you guys might have actually done it already.
cheers.

A couple say they just fit, one says he uses double gaskets. I think I will install and then dummy the cover without a gasket and blu tak on the rockers while i turn it over by hand. if it clears without the gasket I will run with it.

I know this is not a V8, but, a mate has a 250 Xflow with roller rockers, has an alloy rocker cover (EFI unit ), and had to fit 2 gaskets and remove some metal from under the cover to stop it hitting. The rockers are adjustables, so the are a little taller than non-adjustables. I think too, that the lift is somewhere around the 0.520" to 0.530" mark too.

but speak to them in person and they can't all give the same answer. Same goes with blokes who have fitted them. Some say they had no probs and others say they needed taller covers or double gaskets.
Go figure

You may have to trim oil baffle on inside rocker cover...Or fit some alloy rocker covers????
