Hey, just wondering if a set of extractors off an AU XR8 with the 220kW handbuilt motor will fit straight on to a standard 5 litre 165kW EL Falcon? what about the rest of the exhaust system?

Cheers, Gab

hey mate, I heard that they wont due to the different heads (GT 40p) on the AU. I believe they have a different spark angle and as a result aren't compatible. I could be wrong.
As far as the rest of the exhaust, the AU's exhaust was built differently to the efs/els due to the introduction of IRS in the AU.

In short, none of it will fit. Headers will foul on the intermediate shaft, centre section is similar, but not the same, rear section is different.

So will these headers work in my car if I get GT40P heads? I plan on getting them later down the track.

No. The intermediate shaft from the steering column to the rack is in the way.

Yep, unfortunate, but that is the case. If it was an easy change I'd be able to sell my Ceramic Coated T Series headers easily
