AU 1 V8
Has stock .440 lift cam, steel rockers and E7 heads

AU 1 XR8
Has all of the above only GT40 heads added

AU 2 XR8
Has .458 lift cam with 1.6 rockers and GT40 heads

AU 3 xr8
has .450 lift cam with 1.7 rockers and GT40P heads that have been ported and given bigger valves.

Yella terra sell good stuff but when Matt showed me his supposedly GT40P heads he had for sale (remanufactured) I cringed :x . 1 They were only gt40's and 2 they still had standard valves. Buyers beware I say.

t2te50, you never cease to crack me up. Where do you get your information from dude?

This thread should just be deleted rather than waste time to correct all the misinformation here...

Can someone show me a photo of their stock, untouched Y303 alloy headed AU? I've never seen anything but 40p's on any AU no matter what type it is. Even an AU 1 V8 ute(not an XR8) had 40p's not E7's as some have stated they have.

Ally Y303 heads came on S1 TS/TL50 only, nothing else, that was called the synergy 5000.

Please don't quote way off the mark facts, all stock AU 5.0L's came with GT40P heads including utes, high series etc, considering we started running Explorer engines with AU.
Read it from the horses mouth.

Due to your other misinformation I can only guess you were shown the stock GT40P heads they have for sale, they could have been GT40 heads but unless they imported them the GT40 heads are uncommon in Australia, I am pretty sure the only "Aussie" cars to get them was EB GT, ED Sprint and EL GT, none of these cars were sold in high volume.

As mentioned, they only came on the T1 & T2 TS50/TL50... and then only on certain numbers.

There is a bloke on AFF with a black T2 running factory alloy heads.

Aha. Well that means that'd be the best engine to do because the Y heads have the most porting potential.

gt40p's have gtp stamped in them below the no.1 or 8 spark plug.

they also have 4 vertical casting marks down the front of them but they'll be obscured by all the ancillaries.

spark plug comes out a lot squarer than the e7's.

i think if you remove the rocker covers they also have gt40p stamped somewhere in there.

I have a T2 with Alloy heads - they have SVO on the back of them, I don't know if they are better from the factory, has 140k on it and the valve guides are not happy
