hey guys need some help has anyone had the same problem with then little clip that locks the electrical plug in place everytime i go to unplug them another 1 breaks off really p***ing me off i rang ford they reckon u gotta buy the whole loom$$$ tryed local sparky ,he only knew of bosch ones any ideas :?: caus im runnin out of cable ties :? :?

The connector type is the "USCAR" standard. Shouldn't be too hard to buy some from an auto electrician if you ask for them by that name.

I broke all the clips off mine about 12 months ago when I did the cam change. It hasn't caused me any problems, but I do make a habit of checking them everytime I change the oil.

you can buy them, we have em at work. if they need replacing we cut them off and crimp 2 new terminals and put it in the new plug.

awsome thanks guys thought it was just me ( to rough) i checked with fords service department and they had never heard of it :?

hey guys still not having any joy over here in nz tryin to find some plugs tryed under "uscar" is that the brand name ,can you give us some more info on the manufacturer etc

USCAR is the name of the council that developed the standard for the "USCAR" injector connector.

It stands for US Council for Automotive Research.
